By using Filters you can set rules to be applied to incoming messages. Filters can be used to automatically distribute messages to specific folders and/or prevent unwanted mail (spam). When an incoming message is collected, it is compared to any filters that you have created, stepping through the filters in order beginning with filter number one. If a message meets a filter’s criteria it will be moved to the folder specified in that filter. After a message has been moved it will not be compared to any following filters.
