Introduction

WorldClient is a web-based email solution designed to offer you full email functionality through the use of your favorite web browser. All of your email folders reside on the server so that you have access to everything as if you were at the office, home or anywhere else you would normally check your email. In fact, because of WorldClient’s extensive feature set, you can use it as your only email client instead of in addition to others. WorldClient can easily hold its own against traditional email clients while providing the added bonus of enabling you to access your email from anywhere at anytime.

 

WorldClient comes with different themes, or skins, that allow you to use WorldClient in a visually appealing environment. Each one of these themes operates with similar functionality, but may be used slightly differently. We suggest that you try out each of the themes and find the one that suits you best. Also, remember that the LookOut, Simple and Standard themes have styles associated with them so that you can change their color schemes!

 

The LookOut theme requires Internet Explorer 5.5 (6 or higher is recommended) or Mozilla Firefox 1.0 (version 1.5 or higher is recommended) to use, but all other themes should operate well with the most recent versions of the most commonly used web browsers.  We recommend keeping your browser up to date with the latest updates and upgrading when newer version become available.  Because Firefox is available on multiple platforms you can access the LookOut theme on Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X, and various Linux platforms that support Firefox.

 

Note: Version 4 browsers such as Netscape 4 and Internet Explorer 4 are not supported.  Updates for those browsers are available from their respective authors.

LookOut - A familiar user interface, requires Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher or Mozilla Firefox.  Suggested for higher bandwidth connections.

Globe - A graphically appealing theme with a globe background. Uses moderate bandwidth.

Simple - As its name implies the Simple theme is not heavy on graphics and is easy to use on low-bandwidth connections.

Standard - A frames based theme that is more graphical than the Simple theme, but is not as heavy as Globe, LookOut, or Redline.  This is the only theme available with the MDaemon Standard version mail server.

Redline - Another graphically appealing theme that will have you seeing red. Uses moderate bandwidth.
